The importance of learning how and why to install the transmitter and antenna correctly goes above all, it is mainly because if they are not set in the right way, your transmitter may be burnt out for reasons.

 

Step #1: Install Your Transmitter and Antenna In a Right Way

 

For the FM transmission system installation, the following 3 points should be paid special attention to:

 

1. Higher installation means better antenna radiation. Basically, a higher setting place for the antenna means more coverage, so set up your antenna as higher as possible (BTW, don't forget the transmitter TPO!).
2. Proper wire connection between the transmitter and the antenna matters. Always remember the well-connection between an antenna and an FM broadcast transmitter before powering on. I'm pretty sure that you don't want to let your transmitter burn out due to the over-high VSWR of the antenna.
3. Check whether the Anode sides are up or down. When setting the DP100 FM dipole antenna, the "+Anode" end should be face up, and “-Anode” should be face down, once they are set upside down, the VSWR may go as higher as it can, then "BOOM!", your transmitter was burnt out.
